CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — One man was shot after the escalation of a fight at a business in Chesapeake on Sunday evening.
At approximately 9:20 p.m., the Chesapeake Police Department received a call of people fighting in the parking lot of a business in the 4100 block of Portsmouth Boulevard. There were additional calls that someone was also shooting a gun during the incident.
Upon arrival to the scene, officers located a man that had been shot and an injured woman. Both individuals were transported to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.
The incident is an ongoing investigation.
