NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A man is seriously hurt after a shooting on Cary Avenue Sunday night.

According to officials, just after 10:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Cary Avenue for reports of a shooting.

Officers arrived to the scene and found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was then transferred to a local hospital.

Police said a person of interest was detained at the scene.
