Head coach Andy Linn: It’s a tradition, it’s a culture. The kids just never want to be that class that does not go as far as they possible can. They take huge pride in that. They never want to be that team that somebody says, ‘Lafayette wasn’t very good last year, they didn’t get very far.’ They just don’t want to be that team.”

Running back Brayden Smalls: “All Lafayette teams make runs. When I was growing up Lafayette’s always made deep runs. It definitely feels good that we can continue that legacy.”

Offensive lineman Mason Mills: “We’re in the semis, we have our eyes on states. It’s just another game we’ve got to win. This isn’t the goal. The goal is next week.”
