Fredericksburg man arrested in connection to murder, other offenses, police say

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (DC News Now) — The Fredericksburg Police Department (FPD) said a man was arrested on Nov. 27 in connection to a murder as well as other offenses.

FPD said it received a tip of a suspect in an apartment building who was wanted for multiple offenses, including his involvement in a murder that happened in Caroline County on Nov. 18.

Police confirmed the location of the suspect and were able to obtain a search warrant where they found him hiding inside the apartment.

Officers said despite the suspect not being cooperative with police, they were able to detain him and take him into custody.

The suspect was identified as Jamale Antonio Moore, 35, of Fredericksburg.

Moore is at the Rappahannock Regional Jail and being held no bond.
