GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) — A physical altercation over a baggie of methamphetamine has led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Gloucester man, according to police.
On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 7500 block of Riverpark Road in reference to a domestic incident at around 4:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered an individual with injuries that did not require EMS. Officials said the victim is a 38-year-old from Hayes, Virginia.
An investigation revealed there was a physical fight over a baggie of methamphetamine, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest for Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance along with Assault and Battery-Family Member. The suspect was identified as Jesse Shawn Jones.
The suspect was taken to the Gloucester County Jail. Once in jail, an additional search resulted in the discovery of a needle concealed on his privates. He was subsequently charged with being a Prisoner in Possession of a Sharp Object.
