NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning. Norfolk Police identified the victim Monday as Zachary T. Schonborn, 23.

Police said they responded to the 1100 block of E. Little Creek Road around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday in reference to a hit-and-run involving a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation determined that the driver of the car involved had left the scene before officers arrived.

The Norfolk Police Department said they are continuing to investigate, and additional details will follow when they become available.
