NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man has been pronounced dead after a fatal shooting in Greenleaf Drive on Saturday evening.

At approximately 8:45 p.m., the Norfolk Police Department received a report of a shooting in the 1500 block of Greenleaf Drive.

Officers arrived and found a 22-year-old suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound. Shortly after, officers located a second victim, 24-year-old Darius T. Johnson, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Johnson later succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The 22-year-old was transported to a local hospital for his injuries, but is expected to survive.

The investigation remains ongoing.
