NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A woman was hurt after being cut in the cheek after a reported robbery at a 7-Eleven in Norfolk, police said.

Around 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, Norfolk police were called to the 7-Eleven Store located at 3805 Colley Ave. for the report of a commercial robbery.

When officers arrived, they learned a man had allegedly entered the store with a knife and demanded items before leaving. A woman reportedly received a non life-threatening laceration to the cheek during the incident, but didn’t require medical treatment.

50-year-old Anthony Wynn was arrested in the 3500 block of Killam Avenue and charged with armed robbery and malicious wounding.

He is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
