PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth police are investigating a fatal multi-vehicle crash that happened on 164 in Portsmouth Friday evening.

Around 7 p.m., Portsmouth police responded to a call for a two-vehicle accident on 164 westbound.

Two people were injured in the crash. One person was transported to a local hospital, the other died at the scene. 

There are no additional details at this time.
