Hunter critically injured after falling from tree stand in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A hunter is in critical but stable condition after falling out of a tree stand in Suffolk Saturday morning, according to Suffolk Fire & Rescue.

At around 8:10 a.m., Suffolk Fire and Rescue services and Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance responded to the 2590 block of Sandy Crest Lane in reference to the accident.

Crews utilized a brush truck and UTV to access the hunter due to his distance from the road.

Once provided ALS care in the woods, Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance landed in a field and transported the injured hunter to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
