PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Do you struggle with a mental illness? Well, you’re not alone. In fact, each state in the U.S. has a mental illness that seems to fill the minds — and search history — of their residents.
A study done by the Manhattan Mental Health Counseling examined Google trends on 22 mental health disorders to determine which one was searched the most in each state.
Virginia’s number one mental illness searched was anxiety. Meanwhile, North Carolina had hyperactivity and ADHD at the top of their list.
Other states had more unique top search such as Alaska with phobias, North Dakota looking up low libido and Utah with a high search for addiction to porn.
