NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The ODU Football season wrapped up over the weekend with a 40-32 win on the road against Arkansas State — and it was a day to remember for freshman quarterback Quinn Henicle.
During his first career start, Henicle accounted for 349 total yards and four touchdowns in the win. He also tied the school record for the longest rushing touchdown in a game, going 92-yards for a touchdown on ODU’s first offensive play.
Henicle’s 206-yards rushing was the second time in ODU history that has happened by a quarterback, and the first since 2009.
On Monday, for the final week of the regular season, the Sun Belt Conference named Henicle as the Sun Belt Player of the Week.
ODU finishes the season 5-7.
